Vortvots Vorodman Church, IstanbulSince World War I, Vortvots Vorodman (Children of Thunder) Church, Istanbul, Turkey, had been in a state of disuse – that is until recently, when it underwent restoration as part of the Istanbul 2010 European Capital of Culture Project. It has now been reopened complete with a lighting and sound system designed by Dinakord Electronics.

Doubling up as a cultural centre as well as being preserved as a place of worship, the museum church, which is within the complex of Church of the Virgin Mary, has a capacity of 500 people and will hold an array of religious and cultural artistic activity and performances. To generate audio for these purposes, Kling & Feitag CA 106, SONA 5 and E 90 MK II speakers was installed by Dinakord Electronics.

"All the audio equipment used within the church is from Kling & Freitag,“ said Annie Çavusyan, general manager of Dinakord Electronics..

On 28 December the Vortvots Vorodman Church was inaugurated by Turkish minister Hayati Yazici to honour the Armenian people and enhance the friendship between Armenia and Turkey.
