The Home Technology Event witnessed the unveiling of Phillipe Starck-designed Zikmu wireless speakers from Parrot. The range is available in four colours: black, arctic white, pearl grey and sorbet lime.
As well as the new colours and striking design, Parrot is providing a software update that is said to improve the performance. A new web interface is also included that allows the user to browse from the web and select music for an iPod, for example. An equaliser has pre-sets for different music themes.
The speakers are compatible with all digital devices: iPod/iPhone via a dedicated docking station, PC, with audio streaming via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and Mac computers and Bluetooth mobile phones with audio streaming via Bluetooth Stereo.
An RCA line-in enables Parrot Zikmu to be connected to a TV screen for a home cinema sound effect.
