Yamaha provided a first look at its new DXR series of active loudspeakers and MGP audio mixers at ISE 2012.
The DXR series has been designed in conjunction with NEXO, world leaders in sound reinforcement, and is comprised of four full-range models – the DXR8, DXR10, DR12 and DXR15. Each model features a high-efficiency, 1100W Class D amplifier, providing an SPL of up to 133dB and is said to deliver deep bass, clear mid-range and accurate high frequencies. Additionally to this, the models are claimed to consist of high quality features, which include FIR-X tuning and D-CONTOUR dynamic multi-band processing.
Yamaha’s compact MGP series of mixers are believed to make optimum use of both analogue and digital technologies. The series is comprised of two models, the MGP12X and MGP16X, offering 12 and 16 channels respectively, in footprints measuring 348mm or 447mm wide by 495mm deep, and are purportedly ideal for installations where quality and reliability are essential due their small sizes and extensive facilities.
