UK distributor Midwich has announced that it has been awarded exclusive distribution rights for Samsung’s SUR40 40 inch touch screen in the UK. In addition, Midwich’s sister company Square One will be distributing SUR40 in Ireland.
According to Midwich, the SUR40 can process more than fifty simultaneous touches and recognises fingers, hands and other objects placed on the screen. Featuring PixelSense technology, which gives LCD panels the ability to ‘see’ without the use of cameras, it is said to be far less bulky than its predecessor: at four inches thick, it can be vertically mounted, or used horizontally like a table top.
Claimed to be suitable for a wide range of markets including retail, education, leisure, and the public sector, Midwich says that resellers can pre-order the Samsung SUR40 by contacting the company.
