Hitachi launches new pair of LCD projectors

20 August 2010
Story Code : aq79

The new models offer "virtually shadow-free" short- and ultra-short throw operation: the 2,700-lumen CP-D20 (pictured) delivering an 80in (2.02m) screen from 81cm at a contrast ratio of 600:1, and the 3,000-lumen CP-A200 delivering an 80in (2.02m) from 62cm at a 500:1 contrast ratio.

Both models include the latest Hitachi features such as a template to create on-screen lines and grids on a blackboard or whiteboard and an audio pass-through facility which allows audio signals to be directed to external speakers (even when the projector is in standby mode) for saving energy and improving lamp life.

Also included is a Hybrid Filter - said to extend maintenance intervals to 4,000 hours during a normal usage cycle - and a reduced power stand-by mode. This operates at 5W or less for the CP-A200 and 1W or less for the CP-D20.

A new Perfect Fit 2.0 feature on the CP-A200 doubles the number of correction points and offers a comprehensive adjustment capability to ensure a perfect image on interactive whiteboards or even uneven surfaces.
