The Faculties of Law and Arts at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands are modern, internationally oriented institutes and known for their commitment to continuous improvement of research and education. Ensuring fully working, advanced AV technology in the lecture halls is a crucial task of its AV department.
To create easy-to-use functionality of AV control for the lecture hall’s projectors, audio, light, screen and video sources, the team around Henk-Jan Kooke and Herman van Calker selected Extron TouchLink Touchpanel TLP 700 and IPL 250 in the lecture hall. Classrooms are equipped with 50 MediaLink 104 IP controllers and IPL TS2 to control the faculty’s classrooms.
To manage and monitor the entire AV installation, GlobalViewer Enterprise is used, since it accesses usage data, creates reports, and controls the system from any computer on the LAN or WAN.
