Extra Vegetables, Stand D12, is using the event to preview a Control4 driver for the Linn DS range of high performance digital stream players.
The driver enables digitally-stored music and internet radio streamed to Linn DS products to be easily controlled from Control4 touch panels, remotes and on-screen display.
“Multi-room audio doesn't have to mean convenience at the expense of quality”, comments Steve Croft, director of sales, Linn Products. “Combining the audio performance from Linn DS with the ease of use from Control4, high quality music can now be enjoyed as part of a fully integrated multi-room entertainment experience.”
Music from any compatible media server can be selected via the Control4 user interface and played back through the Linn DS player. There is also support for Internet radio stations, including Linn’s very own radio stations. The driver enables full control of a Linn DS player from a Control4 touch-screen, remote or on-screen display.
"Following on from the success of the Apple TV & Sonos drivers we are delighted to provide Control4 dealers with a way of offering the highest quality audio streaming," commented Jane Scotland, marketing director, Extra Vegetables, pictured above with William Walsh, CTO Extra Vegetables (left) and Hamish Neale of Control 4 EMEA (right). "Linn is a true pioneer and has recognised that there is demand for the highest quality downloads and digital music. Linn is changing the way in which music lovers can experience their music. By making their own Studio Master quality downloads available, Linn is providing better than CD quality music in the convenience of a digital format."
