beyerdynamic releases Classis series

16 March 2011
Story Code : bq11

Classis series mics employ Scudio technology, which uses both electronic and mechanical characteristics to eliminate unwanted interference by wireless mobile devices. The range currently includes three conventional gooseneck microphones and two further models with a flexible joint between the capsule and shaft for individual applications.

Classis gooseneck microphones are a slimline design with a diameter of 6mm and a new housing for the electret microphone capsule. Classis boundary mics are discreet, miniature designs offering half-cardioid or half-spherical polar patterns and using Scudio technology to ensure a good electrical transmission of the spoken word at the beginning of the electrical signal chain.

The four overhead mics in the Classis range are designed to offer “natural and precise” recording in conference or distance-learning applications.
