The power distribution unit allows users to monitor, manage and control the power consumption of AV and IT devices.

The NXA-PDU-1508-8 (NetLinx Power Management Power Distribution Unit) is described as an environmentally friendly high-and low-voltage power supply unit. It is capable of monitoring the energy consumption of each connected component and restricting power to any or all devices when not in use.

The IRU rack-mounted design incorporates eight individually monitored and controlled AC outlets, built in 12V power supply, two sets of four AxLink Bus Strips and power monitoring for each outlet.

According to AMX, the design decreases expenditure on wasteful standby power and prevents damage to components from overheating.

Operational advantages include the ability to individually control devices down to 'plug level' for remote re-booting, eliminating the need for an on-site servicing and easy integration with AMX control systems and Resource Management Suite.
