CGRG – or the Clear-Com Global Rental Group, to give the organisation its full name – is a new venture designed to provide Clear-Com intercom systems for productions of any size.

Promoting itself to a European audience at ISE was the Wireless Speaker and Audio Association. Founded as recently as December 2011, WiSA exists to advance the adoption of wirelessly transmitted high-definition (HD) surround sound audio in the home theatre environment.

Up to 320 discs can be loaded into the new Kaleidescape DV700 Disc Vault system, which made its global exhibition debut at ISE. The system accepts – and automatically imports – Blu-ray discs, DVDs and CDs, and will work with all Kaleidescape servers.

Using the same form factor as its predecessor, the HMP130 media player from Swiss manufacturer SpinetiX offers 30% more processing power and is designed to take advantage of the company’s Fusion digital signage software.
